What is El Segundo Tiempo?

El Segundo Tiempo is a newsletter charting the return of La Liga after the three-month break enforced by the global pandemic.

With the final 11 rounds of games squeezed into the space of five weeks between 11 June and 19 July, I’ll be providing an alternative look at the Spanish top flight’s strange second half or ‘segundo tiempo’ while keeping you up to date with what is going on around the league.

If nothing else, by the end of the season it should mean I have something to show for five weeks of watching non-stop football.

In the words of Marca and other Spanish sports newspapers, ‘¡Hay Liga!’. There is a league.
